There has been a big change.

The last two weeks a desire, a sense of urgency has crept into my spirit, the phrase “why wait” has been flooding my thoughts. I finally asked my friend Amie Beth how I could be apart of an organization that is behind the scenes. An organization that is helping those caught in human trafficking locally. Amie Beth began asking questions. She led into a big question, “Would you like to switch from worship track to liberation track.” I was taken back, surprised, and responded, “I did not even know I could switch. “ After I spent a few days praying, I knew that I was being led into a new track. I couldn’t turn down this opportunity.

I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to be apart of worship track for my first semester here at CGA. I learned so much about different types of worship, how to lead or facilitate worship, and how to create a space to worship in. I was pushed, challenged, and called higher by each and every single person in worship track.

Today, I began a new journey in the liberation track. Liberation track is a track dedicated to the freedom, liberation, fighting, and loving those effected by human trafficking. I am beyond excited to be apart of this group of people, to get to learn more, and how to fight for these people.

Why the change all of a sudden?

One, I believe that we should be flexible and obedient to where the Lord is calling us. In this case, the Lord invited me into a new space, to further learn how to better serve the people I want to help find their freedom.

I have a passion for people who are lost, forgotten, abandoned, hard to love, and those who need new skills to survive and thrive. I want to combine my love for cosmetology and people into a ministry. Which is why liberation track is perfect. The people who are in the human trafficking industry are lost, forgotten, often abandoned, can be hard to love, and who need new skills to provide for themselves and their family. It is seriously perfect.

Being here at CGA and switching to the liberation track is so important to my future dreams.

CGA & liberation track is a great next step after coming home from the World Race. Everyone who is apart of this program has encouraged me, pushed me, and called things out in me that I didn’t know what there. They are helping me dream bigger, make connections to people or organizations who could help me get to here I want to go. This program really is tailor made to every participant. You can get out of it as you want, and help propel you into whatever is next. If that is the corporate world, working at Adventure in Missions, a leadership role, in another country, or in a salon. Center for Global action is equipping me to go out, serve, love, and disciple people exactly where they are at. All in ways that I did not know I could do before now.

At the end of CGA we do a two-week mission trip in the month of April. Liberation track is going to the Philippines to support Wipe Every Tear. Wipe every tear is run by one of the sweetest man, Kenny. Kenny helps women & men from slavery in the Philippines & Thailand. Through this organization, he helps guide people into freedom. Giving hem a safe place to live, an education, and skills training. He not only provides a safe way out, but a way to sustain themselves and others. Wipe Every Tear has been in my prayers every single day since August of 2016. I am excited to be able to partner with Wipe Every Tear. To begin a relationship with the women and men I come across.

Check out a video from Wipe Every Tear.

I need a total of $6,000 to be able to go to the Philippians in April. That means I need $4,601 by JANUARY 27TH.

Would you please consider supporting me during this step of my journey, as I prepare to move on to the next step.
